How to Fix “The Response is Invalid” on Magisk Manager with Safetycheck?
Safetynet check message would similarly look like the one shown on the image provided below. More or less, the error is same and the solution would be same as well.
Initially, while trying to sort out the issue, I have tried “Core Only” Mode but no use. So here is what you need to exactly follow fix the issue.
Fix 1: Update the Firmware
One most common mistake we all do is not updating the firmware; so, please take your time and update the firmware of your smartphone. In my case, I have updated the Android Nought 7.1.2 to Android Oreo 8.1 and able to fix the issue.
Upon updating the device to the latest available software version; I am able to sort out the issue and now I am able to use Android Pay, Netflix, Banking Apps and few other games including Pokemon Go and Super Mario Run; PUBG (not to forget).
A very few of the times, it won’t get resolved even you update the firmware. What you should do in such cases?, check it now.
Fix 2: Disable Magisk Hide
It’s the simplest of all fixes provided on this page. You don’t need to install or uninstall anything on/from your Android device. Just go to the Hamberger menu on the left top corner of the Magisk Manager and go to “Magisk Hide”. Disable it and check back after rebooting your device.

Fix 3: Re-install Magisk Manager
The final fix is; uninstall previously installed magisk manager and re install magisk manager latest version. This will solve the issue in most of the cases. Please don’t forget to remove it completely and flash a new Magisk Manager file through TWRP.

If you get an invalid response result when checking SafetyNet it might mean that Google’s Servers are down at the moment.
Another thing to try is to Force Close Play Services, clearing it’s data and/or rebooting the device.
You could also try using a different GAPPS package (if you’re on a custom ROM) or update the Play Services manually by downloading the latest version from APKMirror.
